Hi,

Where can I find nice clothing consignments stores in CLT that will accept gently worn clothing. My 10 year old outgrows clothes probably every 3 to 4 months. She's now 10 and 5 ft 6 so she wears the smaller teen sizes. Primarily clothing from Limited, etc. She wants to buy a WII so she is trying to find different ways to earn the money. She has earned about half of the money. I won't buy it even though I could. Are there any stores in the area that will accept the clothing that she has outgrown (some new or barely worn)? We live in the Highland Creek area.

Once upon a child is a kids consignment store and takes newborn to youth size 16. They have a location in Pineville and one off Independence in Matthews. You could also list her clothes on craigslist. Then there is Plato's Closet that is a teen and early twenty's consignment store. I guess it depends on what size your daughter wears. She sounds pretty tall for her age. There is a Plato's on University City Blvd and one in Matthews.

Yea, the Consignment sales like those are just 2 times a year usually in March and Sept. Lots of churches have them too but I would say they are more geared to baby items rather than teen items.
