I drove through the neighborhood Hollister today. While driving through, I noticed that there is no new homes being built. It seems like they have some spec houses for sale, but no new homes currently under construction on either side of Hollister. I know things are slow all over, but it seems funny that there is not one house under construction in the entire neighborhood. Just curious if anyone knows if anything is happening over there, or are things just really slow.

It's the same way in other neighborhoods. Twelve Oaks is close by. Four beautiful houses have been built for about a year with no signs of activity at all. A few weeks ago, "lots for sale" signs appeared on the undeveloped lots.

It's a shame, but I wouldnt buy a home in a "just started" developement these days. Who knows when you'll have neighbors, how long construction will continue, or what the rest of the houses will even look like (if they are built by other builders).

Fortunately we purchased a home in Lawson. We did consider buying in Hollister at one point, but liked Lawson more. I was just curious to see if any new development was going on in Hollister, since we visited the neighborhood one year ago.
