Default Help, RN researching Charlotte Area!

Hello,

I am a 30 year old single female born and raised in MA. I have always considered moving to Charlotte. How is the pay for a new grad? How much is it roughly for a 1 bedroom apartment? Quality of life?

Also, what hospitals in the area have a good new grad programs? I will be graduating with a ADN in a few weeks and have a bachelors in Marketing. I also wish to go on for my BSN or MSN.

Thanks!

1 bdrm good area 650+, Great area 1k+

Don't judge by the starting pay of an RN down here. It will be less than up there, but things are cheaper down here.

Quality of life ....This is the 2nd largest banking city in the USA. So quality of life is as high as you can afford to be.
Presbyterian will have good programs for you. And Carolina Medical center.

This is a great place to be an RN.

My mother runs a home health care business. She has been a RN in Charlotte for over 25 years.

Default Rn

Please call the hospitals and ask about their "relocation" packages and sign on bonus.

Thanks for your replies. I plan on calling the hospitals this week while someone will be there in HR to answer. I know every hospital is different and some are good to work in while others are not. I know of the ones here in MA, but have no clue in NC. Also, how is the Raleigh area? What are the avg salaries that you are seeing as new grads?
I will def check out presb and CMC. Here in MA, not all hospitals run a new grad programs. Is there a need in NC? There doesn't seem to be a real need in MA. Tough for new grads.
