I am living in Orlando and moving back to Charlotte in 5-6 months. I am well versed in development (single or multi-family) and am going to develop about 50-60 acres for single family with a partner. He is taking care of the building and I will do the sales, marketing, etc.
MY QUESTION - Is it feasible for me to get my RE License and start to sell with our development company? Would I have to work for an organization for awhile? We will only be focused on selling our props and I will not go outside our development we are doing.

Any advice would be welcome.

Thanks

To become your own real estate firm now you have to be in business for at least 2 years at broker status.

I am not an attorney. You should consult an attorney, and/or call the NC Real Estate Commission for an interpretation of NC Real Estate License Law, particularly regarding interpretation of Article 1, 93A-2.
I think you can sell your own stuff without a license, but check it out with someone who has the authority to make that statement...

Now, when they come in with a home they need to sell before they can buy, you will have to refer them...to Me!?!
And of course, since you are not licensed, unfortunately, I will not be able to offer you a referral fee!
