Having been a student at UNC Charlotte I know there were a lot of international students. Weather is quite diff. between the two cities. If you like colder weather then OR is more your style.

There is no comparison city-wise IMO between Corvallis (a college town) and Charlotte (a major city). Depends on what you're looking for!

thanks travlingrlclt for your quick replay
actually i am sick of hot weather
sometimes it reaches 55 C here in summer
so obviously i prefer a cold weather to a hot weather
also i wanna play with snow i never touch snow it looks very nice
also i wanna ask you a question about the housing in the UNC Charlotte
do you recommand me to live in the dorm or you recommand me to find an apartment
and is there close apartments to the university ?
beside what are the rules there i have been told that some campuses tell their students to come by 10 pm or they wont let them in so is that right or not ???
best wishes:

oh i forgot to ask you guys about the health insurance system in the US
i have never had a health insurance because the health care in my home ( Saudi Arabia ) is free of charge
if i have one will i get treatment for every disease ? where can i get it and what is the best one ??
and thank you again for your affort to helping me

The business school at UNCC is pretty good, do you will have many opportunities to land a job here in accounting. I think UNCC makes students buy insurance for like $800-1000 a year. That will cover a percentage of your costs if you get sick. But it really varies a lot, so you will have to look into the specific health-care plans. There is not health-care system in the US, just private plans.

Hi Unknown,

I used to work at UNCC in the International Programs Office. My advice to you is to call a fellow named Tom Briggs who is the - assistant to the director of the English Language Training Institute. He's a wonderful fellow and will answer your questions in detail and with complete honesty. He can tell you everything you want to know. His telephone number is 704-687-2458.

coped thanks for the precious information you told me
i am an international student so i can't work
beside i got scholarship from Saudi Aramco oil company
i will work for it after i graduate
i am in a college prep program to prepare me to be successful student at college overseas my classes start at 7:30 am until 4 pm and on Sunday my classes finish at 5 pm so it like hell ( the weekend here on Thursday and Friday )
i wanna ask you about the number of students in a class in the Business school
i heared in the US sometimes 200 students in a class !!!!!!!!!!!
the biggest number of classmates i had was 30 students last year when i was in high school
so i am afried that i wont understand with the huge number of students

but i really didn't understand that my health insurance will not cover all kind of health problems ????
sorry but as i told i have no idea about the health insurance
if you have a website explaines the policy of the health insurance you would help me so much
best wishes:

There is no comparison. It has to be UNCC. Who has ever heard of Oregon State? On the other hand, if you ask someone from Oregon, they will use my same words but change UNCC to OSU. But seriously, UNCC would be the best choice. Just ask anyone in North Carolina.
