Maybe not for those that get on I-77 or I-85 to go to work, but are others going to do this?

I would need a shower at work to bike to work.

Best I could do is cycle to blacksheepcycles (they have showers) and take the bus the last 1 1/2 into uptown.

I might if (1) I had a bike and (2) there were showers at my office. Since I don't have either... sadly, I won't be participating.

I work in the den of my home so I already walk.

No way would DH bike to work. He would need to shower and change. It is just about too far to be practical and besides, many roads here do not have berms wide enough to accommodate bikes and cars. I think even in rural areas where traffic is not as congested it would be a traffic problem if lots of people started riding bikes. Already the little scooters slow things down.

Roads with paved berms make bike riding to work or for pleasure much safer and easier.
