Default Are fish caught in Lakes Norman and Wylie safe

Are fish caught in Lake Norman and Wylie safe to eat? I wouldn't have thought twice about it when I was a kid, but how about now with sewage and runoff? Any data indicating unsafe levels of contamination or the likes? I don't mind catching and releasing, but occasionally, I would like to have a fish fry.
