Hail damage...need body shop in Concord/Huntersville/Cornelius area
Our two cars got pounded in a hail storm the other night and we'd like to find someplace either in Concord, Huntersville or Cornelius to take them for body work. Mooresville wouldn't be bad either. Can anyone recommend someplace to go that's outside of Charlotte? Thanks!

Wilburn Auto Body off of Statesville Road in Cornelius: 18831 Statesville Rd, Cornelius - (704) 892-6262
I'm taking mine there this week. Luckily I don't have a deductible for this type of damage (hail damage/windshield replacement--on my new FJ!!!!!!!! ). You got collision insurance?
Safelite Auto Glass is another option for windshield repair and replacement.

I had a good experience at True2Form Collison Repair - it's in Huntersville, on Old Statesville Rd - 704-875-6703.
They were cheaper than Wilburn for my particular repair job, but I'd get a quote from them all.

No broken glass here, thank goodness!
When we lived in South Dakota our vehicles got hail damage twice and both times we were able to use a body shop that waived our deductibles ($250 per car). I hope we can do the same thing here, because $$ is really tight right now. I've heard both good and bad things about Wilburn in general, but nothing about the one in Cornelius. It definitely won't hurt to talk to them and True2Form Collision, too.

The only bad part with Wilburn Cornelius is my dh is no longer the manager there. So I can't say what it is like now but before they were very customer oriented and true to there word when the car is promised. For this type of repair they would be fine. Another option would be Dent Wizard or Paintless Dent Repair.

McGucci - let us know what you decided to do . . . it would be helpful so we will have recommendations for others in the future. Hope it all works out well for you.

I'll let you know what happens...we go to meet with the insurance adjuster tomorrow at Wilburn in Concord. They picked the location, not us.

Well, the hail damage has been repaired on one vehicle and it sure was an experience! We ended up going with Dents USA, who did the work at Wilburn in Concord. Other than it taking much longer than we were originally told and not being kept in the loop, the results were outstanding. The strange thing was that when we picked up the car we got a warranty certificate from Wilburn, not Dents USA, which makes me assume that Wilburn actually did the work because it was passed off from Dents USA. Like I said, the whole thing was confusing but in the end the car looks great.
