Default Where to live?

I'm looking for a Fort Mill community with tons of school aged kids that play outside. Since realtors can't talk about that, I was wondering if someone can help me. Priced upto $400k.

The easiest answer is Baxter Village. I'm sure there are tons of other neighborhoods, but I'm just not that familiar with the SC side. You might post this on the York/Lancaster board as well to get more specifics. Of course, Charlotte people may know more, too. You shouldn't really have too many problems, though. Good luck!

Baxter Village would be my suggestion too. But really, all of Fort Mill is nice. Also look at Tega Cay if living near the lake appeals to you (it would me!).

Yes Baxter is a nice neighborhood. They are a Papas property and they have a lot of shops and ammenities in the neighborhood which is nice. There are also many neighborhoods surrounding that area that are nice as well. Fort mill is very family oriented and family friendly. Low crime, great schools, etc. I would advise looking into the school district before you move though as I hear that they are currently in a freeze, ie, not allowing any additional children at this time. I'm not sure how that works over there, I think they place the children into another school until room becomes available at their home school.

Thanks everyone. How do you feel about the Park Sharon area? I work in Fort Mill, but we've been involved with the baseball/softball program over there for years and am thinking about sacraficing on the commute. The whole Char-Meck school thing is confusing. Any advice?

Would you be interested in a house in the Providence High School area? Small neighborhood with 60 custom houses on 4 streets. Very family oriented and safe. DM if you want more info

Baxter's good. If you're willing to swing over toward Lancaster, Bridgehampton is full of kids who play outside.

The freezes are in the process of being eliminated as the bonds passed and new schools are being built.

Baxter is pretty nice, though I don't think I've seen a whole bunch of kids playing outside in front of houses. I would check out the area's off of Doby's Bridge Rd too.
