Question Auston Crossing, Abbington Place, Addison? Looking for reasonably safe apartments in Charlotte, NC

I'm moving to Charlotte, NC in a couple of weeks and, since I just found out, haven't had time to visit. I'm a mid-20's female and will be living alone, so safety is my main concern.

Many previous threads have given great advice about areas to avoid, and I've been mapping those areas in relation to apartments, but wanted to know if anyone else has insight about either of these places:

Auston Woods
5329 Auston Crossing Dr
Charlotte, NC 28216
(it looks like there's Phase I and Phase II, older and newer buildings, respectively - I'd been looking at the latter)

Abbington Place
10015 Parthenon Ct
Charlotte, NC 28262

Addison Apartments
6225 Hackberry
Charlotte, NC 28269

Auston is about 2 miles from Old Statesville, Abbington near N. Tryton, and Addison near W WT Harris BLVD, all of which people have listed as rough in other posts. All three places have decent reviews on apartmentratings.com, and with the exception of Addison, which was not listed, had a reasonably small number of crimes on cmpd.org.

What I could REALLY use help on is insider perspectives - has anyone heard of, lived in, lived near, or driven by any of these places? Any words of encouragement or warning? Any alternative suggestions? I'm looking in the $700 - $800 range, and hoping to get something near work (in the 28213 zip code).

I would greatly appreciate any help you have to offer - thank you in advance!

***ALSO! I just read a post about Huntersville being great - does anyone know if the drive would be worth the niceties? Does 77 get congested during rush hour? Thanks!
