Default Fourth Of July

Hi, I'm new to the Lake Norman area and was wondering what the area offers for entertainment on July 4th. I need something that is kid friendly. Also, who does fireworks around here?

where in Lake Norman Area? If you can get on the lake there will be a nice show. The Peninsula normally has something as well as kenton place next to Birkdale. I also think Davidson offers something. The last few years we have been on the water.

We use to have a very nice fireworks Uptown...but all the thugs and rioting ended that. Fireworks are now held outside of Uptown at Memorial Stadium. They are also held at Lake Norman & Lake Wylie. Many other locations will have them too. Watch the local Charlotte news and they will advise where and what time.

I can't out on the lake but we live in Hunterville and have been wondering the same thing. Where is a good place to watch the ones at Kenton Place?

LOL-704 How come I'm not surprised about how things have gotten ruined? Hence, interested in the Suites club.Hopefully a upper scale atmosphere.

I'd definitly be interested in finding out where some fireworks displays are going to be!

Some of the most fun are at Knights Castle in Fort Mill. You take in the baseball game and then they do the fireworks - makes for a fun day

If you have access to a boat, LKN has some of the best fireworks around, especially coming off the water. Besides many of the millionaires putting off a great display, you can coast upstream through to Troutman, or check out Queens Landing (Home) for a spectacular extravaganza. Highly recommended if you got a boat!!!! Forget about uptown! (Unless you don't have a boat. )

I'll second this choice. Great fun watching the Knights games. This 4th is against Durham.
