Hi. I'm looking for a home. I'd like to spend no more than 175K. I'm not sure if I want a home or a townhome. I'm in my 20s, female and will be living alone. I also work in Uptown. What are your suggestions?

In that price range you will be hard pressed to be close to uptown and live in a nice area. You may look into the University area or SW Cabarrus County or Harrisburg.

A friend of mine bought a more expensive condo uptown and got a roommate to help with the rent and the safety issue.

Just an idea...it's not for everyone.

In that price range I'd say townhome or condo for sure. You may be able to find something in the South Park area, which is not a bad commute to uptown.

You can find townhomes in that price range in Huntersville. You maybe able to find a nice home too if your into re-sales.
