Driving directions from Charleston SC to... (Star, Speed: cars, parking, best)

Lowe's Motor Speedway.

I need directions! Have looked @ their website and they list several ways to get there, some even conflicting with each other?!?!

We are going to the Coca Cola 600 this Sunday, we plan on leaving like 8:30 AM that morning...

Obviously we will take 26 to 77...From there its gets confusing. Some Say I485, some say I85. There website lists Exit 1 485 East, Exit 2 485 East? How can there be two...

If anyone has made that trip to the track from SC, let me know the best possible way. I will have 3 cars following me too so I don't want to look like a jackass and drive all around the area...

Take 485 Outer/East.

Both go to Speedway parking, just depends on where you want to park. Upon leaving, traffic patterns change and you might be forced to go out a different exit but they all go to the same place.

Leaving can be very slow but once you are actually out of your parking lot, traffic moves pretty well actually. Now just getting out of your lot is another story. :-) Last year I went to the All-Star race and it was about 75 minutes to get out of my parking lot and just 15 minutes or so to 485 when I actually got out of our lot.

I totally agree Taking I485 is not really any shorter in milage, but it is a better entrance into the track parking area. Plus, many out of towners only know the I85 way and traffic there gets heavier Have a great time!
