So, what do you couples on CD think about having a "night out" to meet other couples? We (wife/I) think it would be great. Find out each others interests, etc.
Let us have some input on possible day/time.....perhaps next month sometime and a location. We will try to keep the meeting place centralized for anyone coming from the north of Charlotte (like us) and others coming from the south end or whereever.
All suggestions great appreciated.

A place would definately need an area to mingle. A sitdown restaurant would disallow people to do so unless there is a coctail hour (or so) prior to sitting down. Is there a suitable place on the lake with a outside area? How about Boardwalk Billy's in the University area or Vinnie's Sardine at one of their locations? Not that I don't like going to classy restaurants, but I would suggest an informal setting as a starting point so everyone will feel at ease. Take my suggestions for what they are worth. Probably not much? I will be moving up on June 2 for what that is worth also. Probably not much?

DH=Dear Husband

Additionally:
DS = Dear Son, DS1 = Dear Son 1, etc.
DD = Dear Daughter
MIL = Mother In Law
FIL = Father in Law

By the way, this is for couples (as in man/woman) and you don't have to be married, but that would be good. Nothing against other couples.

Maybe it is just me, but since some of the subscribers may possibly be gay or single, I feel that they should also be welcomed to attend. Are they?

Wow. If this is for couples, what does it matter if it's man/woman? Unless this is some swingers thing, who cares about the couples' orientation? That statement just seems unnecessarily exclusionary if the purpose is for "couples" to meet.
