If you go on the Char-Meck school website there is a colored map of the city showing all the different attendence zones and what neighborhoods feed into what schools. And yes, Ballantyne is in Mecklenburg County.

Ballantyne Country Club is currently assigned to Endhaven Elementary. Ballantyne area can be assigned to Endhaven, Hawk Ridge, McAlpine, and McKee for this school year. New schools are scheduled to open in the next school year -- one is going to be used next year as a "swing school" to alleviate the overcrowding problems at Hawk Ridge. Middle schools can be Community House, JM Robinson...high schools Ardrey Kell, South Meck and Providence.

Sure. Go to www.cms.k12.nc.us/ In the search box on the right type in "attendance zones". That takes you to a page of choices to select like as if you had googled something (if you know what that looks like!). Select the 3rd option and you come to a page that says "student assignment 2006-2007" on the left. Scroll down that menu on the left and you will see the map choices for elementary, middle or high schools. Good luck!

The link is under my user profile. I do not want to walk the fine line with the mods etc.
