I have seen some busses around, but I don't think it is nearly as prevalent here as CATS is in Charlotte.

Lincoln NO but CATS are serves a vanpool and there is an express bus from Denver

vanpool and express cats bus for Gaston as well.

There is a City of Gastonia public transit fleet - City of Gastonia - City Services - General Services Department - Transit Division - not especially robust.

I can't find anything about county public transportation.

CATS runs the 85X Express from Gastonia through Uptown, 4x a day, both ways. There was an article last week in the Observer about the 85X - it is standing room only as ridership is up a LOT and more buses cannot be added (not for awhile as CATS is stretched thin for buses). The article pointed out that most of the Express routes into Uptown from outside of Meck County are packed.

Van pooling is possible - I am thinking of starting a vanpool or minivan program as the one from Gastonia to Uptown is full and there is a waiting list. More info on vanpools:
