Default Moving to Charlotte from Miami in June... looking for Moving Company...

Hi All,

Soon I will be y'all's neighbor (well, bless my heart!) and I am looking for a moving company that is trustworthy.... any suggestions? Thanks in advance

<As y'all can see I'm trying to practice my Southern accent, although the few times I was there to visit no one had 1, except my sister in Winston-Salem (where I was born, but I've lived in Miami for a billion hot as Hades years!)>

I could tell you who not to use, but that leaves doing it yourself.

I used a broker on powerline rd, mine worked for me but there has been so many complaints not even funny.

try Move with the Truck Rental Alternative - ABF U-Pack Moving

We moved from Miami about 2yrs ago, and they were like over 2k cheaper than anyone else. You will need to move the stuff yourself....

You load it, and they pick it up and drop it off

Another vote for the team at ABF.

I used them a few months ago to move my things down to the house I rented in Steele Creek (right near the office, better then commuting on JetBlue every week, gives the family a place to stay when they come down, new house being built in Indian Trail).

I used 2 of their u-pack containers for the items. They dropped them off on time in Staten Island, NY, and picked them up as scheduled on a Tuesday at 5:00 pm. Next morning, I flew back to work in CLT, and received a call from ABF at 2:45 in the afternoon - containers were in CLT, and they were calling to set-up a delivery appointment!

Great deal if you don't mind doing the packing yourself.

My friend used ABF and really like it as well but moving to/from totally different areas. If you are really looking to save some money, why not use Penske?

I used Allied (Griffin) out of Ft. Lauderdale 5 yrs ago. The actual movers were great, but the PACKERS were NASTY. They were snotty and mean. One looked like he had just gotten out of prison. I tipped them but later wished I hadn't given them anything.
