So we're going to Amos for the first time on Wednesday (Social Distortion!) and was just wondering what people could tell me about it. Do they have their own parking lot? If not, where's a good place to park? Does the bar take credit cards or are they cash only (should be a no-brainer, but ever since running into cash only at the VZ Amphitheater, I figured it can't hurt to ask)? Can anyone recommend a place in the immediate area to grab dinner beforehand?

I've been to Amos' many times over the years and it's a really nice club, both in terms of layout and sound quality. There's a balcony that runs around the floor so you're guaranteed a place to see. The venue has its own parking lot which may or may not charge a fee (I've been there at times when they did and did not charge so I can't tell you how they work it exactly). There are several bars in there which take both cash and credit from what I remember, but at a show that is bound to be that crowded it's probably easier to bring extra cash than to run a tab. There is an ATM in there but the service charge on it is probably pretty steep. As far as places to eat go there is a restaurant right next to the venue that I remember being pretty decent and reasonably priced but I can't tell you what the name of it is.

Enjoy the show! I'd love to see SD.

Here's their website which has a phone number listed so that you can give them a call. Have fun!

My brother in law's band used to play w/Social D in the late70's/early 80's all the time.

Tavern On the Tracks

Owned and operated by the same folks who own and operate the wonderful Killington's in H-Ville.
