Fairhaven in Stallings - advice please! (Charlotte, Matthews: rental, house, subdivision)

Advice from anyone welcome - my DH and I are looking into renting in the Stallings area b/c we have friends in south Charlotte and Indian Trail and it'd be nice to be near them until we can explore.

Can someone tell me if Fairhaven is nice/safe/etc.? I found a nice looking place on Afternoon Sun Rd. Suggestions from all, including realtors, very welcome! Also, how is Home and Seek for a rental agency?

Bumping this as we are thinking of putting an offer on a house in Fair Haven (resale). I was hoping to be in Matthews proper, but we fell in love with the house.... my question is, what is near Fair Haven in Stallings as far as shopping, etc? I noticed there was a Harris Teeter down the road, but is that it? How far is Target/Walmart, etc?

I have friends that just bought in that subdivision and they love it. We almost bought, but changed our mind at the last minute because of the floorplan.

How far do you want to travel to shop? Matthews is not far. We have a new publix in Matthews on the other side of 74. It's very convenient to a lot of things and 485
