In all my years here I have never heard of one - you should check out New Orleans for one

Truth is, there is no french history here - this area was settled by the Scots-Irish and Indians.

I've attended the Alliance française Bastille Day celebration and found it to be a great way to revisit France: excellent food and interesting company.

As summer draws near, the French American Chamber of Commerce of North Carolina Inc.(FACCNC) is once again working on preparations for the Bastille Day Festival!

This year, the 8th annual Festival will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2008 from 3 - 8pm at the Extravaganza Depot at 1610 N. Tryon St, Charlotte, NC.

The FACCNC anticipates a large turnout again this year to enjoy the French food and wine, music, juggling, a fencing demonstration, games and of course, the raffle featuring round trip tickets to Paris on Air France!

Thank you so much!!!! I've known for a while that there wasn't a HUGE french community in Charlotte, but it's so great to know that there is some kind of celebration.

Thank you again!

I think this one has my attention because it will be inside. Beat the heat is the name of the game.
