Default Buying oversized items at Sams/Cosco etc.

I was at Sams this weekend and there is actually a sofa/chair set I liked and at a good price. Problem is ..how in the heck do you get this stuff home as they don't do delivery? Is there a service in Charlotte that can pick up something like that and deliver to your house for a fee?

These are the times you need a friend, neighbor, relative or co-worker who has a truck!!!! You pay for their gas and time and go w/ them to help pick it up. Sure there is no one you know w/ a truck????

I would recommend renting a truck from Lowes or Home Depot. It's like $19. And Costco will help you load it in, just need help unloading.

No, I don't know anyone that would have a truck that big. You would need like a small moving truck or something. It's a huge 84" long sofa, two chairs and two ottomans and they are packed in oversized boxes.

You can geta uhaul for $19 for the day and approx $0.70 a mile and I think $10 for insurance, that I think would be your best deal for that.

The you might have to get a small moving truck. Again at $29 plus gas it can be cheaper than most furniture deliveries. Again the Home Depot and Lowes Trucks are $19 for the first 75 minutes. If its a Sat or Sunday, they may be busier.

There are people who advertise on Craig's List for this type of service, but it is anyone's guess how trustworthy and reputable they are.

U-Haul has specials on local one day rentals.

I bet the trucks you can rent from Home Depot are for hauling stuff you bought there.
