Default Lake Norman Fishing Areas

Can anyone pull up alongside Lake Norman and fish or are there designated areas only for fishing?

Let's say for example, Blythe Landing. If I have a fishing license, can I plop down my chair along the water's edge and fish? As long as I don't get in the way of the boat launching area?

Can someone buy a boat and find a place to dock it at Lake Norman?

Are there boat rentals there?

Tell me more!

TIA

Yes, you can fish on the shoreline at Blyth Landing and there is a Fishing Pier at Ramsey Park you can fish off of.
Docking a boat at Lake Norma? There are docks at both Blyth and Ramsey, but they are for short-term tie-up (not all day or overnight).
Slips at Lake Norman? Good luck in finding an available slip for renting at the lake......and they aren't cheap!
Dry Storage? We have seen a couple of "dry storage" buildings along the lake. For a monthly/yearly fee, you can put your boat in a Dry Storage Building. The people who run it will take it out of the building with a forklift, put it in the water and take it out of the water and put back into the building one time per day.
Boat Rentals: Not sure about that, but most likely there would be.
