I am looking to purchase live ladybugs. I used to be able to buy them at my local nursery in Florida but can't find any here in Charlotte.

Anyone know of a place?

Renfrow Hardware in downtown Matthews. Have not been in there recently so you may have to call them first.

They used to be availabe from most of the catalogues, but they don't carry them anymore. I checked this one & they have them. I have done business with them & they are reputable.

I don't know if they still sell it, but...

When I lived in an apartment, I had a window box full of pansies and a severe aphid problem. Rather than use any pesticide around my kitties, I went to Lowes (or Home Depot, I can't remember) and bought a "ladybug house" that came with a bottle of ladybug pheromone. A few drops of that around my plants, and suddenly I no longer had an aphid problem!!!

Then, a little while after, I started seeing little bugs that looked like tiny black and orange alligators all over my patio. Ladybug larvae!! Guess those pheromones did the trick...

Thanks all, Renfrow did indeed have them. And they are really helpful in all types of gardening. I came away with ladybugs and tips.
