Saussy Burbank Houses/mcadenville
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone is familiar with The sauuusy houses, more so Mcadenville area. I am not able to find anything bad reguarding this builder. I tend to think they are very reputable, but was going to see if any of you who are new to this thread could volunteer any info thanx

I drive by those homes in mcadenville often, and they are quite beautiful. I think you get a lot of originality with saussy homes that you don't get with most builders.
Sorry I can't offer much beyond that, never sat foot in one or knew anyone whose purchased one.

Saussy
We were very interested in Saussy as a builder. Arvida was taken over by St. Joe, and so was Saussy. We had an Arvida home in FL. They are very reputable, according to our realtor but the location wasn't going to work for us.
As far as McAdenville, you really should try to drive through it around x-mas time. It is known as "x-mas village" and those Saussy homes are a showcase with lights and such. The whole town is a showcase! Buses go through and cars and there's nothing but traffic and x-mas lights. That would agitate me to no end! We looked at that development but we ended up having to be on the north or east side of Charlotte for my husband's travel. Just wasn't going to work... Saussy does have other developments, a couple around the corner here in Huntersville.
I wish you luck!

Thank you we need luck-this truly becomes overwhelming. I was just there this weekend and drove for miles and have now decided huntersville- Monteith Park maybe Gilead village. I am glad to hear they are a reputable builder, i could sense that while looking compared to others in the area.
How are you liking huntersville, sure seems to be busy.

You looked around the corner from me. Did you look in Rosedale? The reason I ask is because that's where I live and you should consider it. My husband also has noticed that when he comes home from work in Charlotte, he can get right off at the exit easily without hitting the traffic jam. Also, taking the left-hand turn is easier to make than to take the right to go to Monteith.
Saussy is very reputable but the builder in Rosedale is Centex and they are #1 & 2 for top builders in Charlotte, very reputable. 2 year warranty and a great neighborhood! We have a monthly ladies night Bunco and just had a sports bar open in the neighborhood that I hear is pretty nice. We also will have a lot of shopping coming in around the corner. You can see the land being developed.
I really don't think it's that busy here but it's all relative. I'm coming up from Tampa so Charlotte/Huntersville does not compare! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email me. I really like it here and I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for.

I like the homes at Montieth Park. I think that neighborhood will be very desirable in the years to come.

If you have the option, I'd choose Monteith over Gilead Village. You may be able to get more house for you money in Gilead right now, but for future re-sale, Monteith will be much better than Gilead Village, IMO.
As you know, I live in a Greenwood in Monteith right now, but we just put our house on the market. We're building in Walden Park in Fort Mill. We love Monteith but we've got a new baby and wanted to be closer to the Grandparents and other family members in Baxter. Plus, we wanted a larger house, and looking ahead a few years, to be in the Fort Mill school district. Let me know if you have any more questions about Monteith.

Thank you bk- I was just there this weekend, i really love Moneith Park much better, but price wise i like gillead. But i also am thinking about re- sale as well. What color is your house for sale, the blue one? We are waiting for the new phase to open up, there are available lots open on stump hill rd?, but seems rather busy up there. I actually would not mind a re- sale either, although the eliz d, and beufort d are my favorites, i am also looking at the greenwood. Thank you for the info, good luck in your new house, i aslo was in baxter- what a place

Schools
We drove through McAdenville this weekend and loved it for the style home and the lots, but the school ratings were not good at all. Also, to me it appeared to be surrounded by areas that were not so desirable, and so we questioned resale...we're now looking at other Saussy Burbank communities though!
Gotta sell our house in Georgia first though
