The votes are in, and the results are final -- Charlotte, North Carolina, has been awarded the title of the Best Place to Live in the entire United States of America!
Boasting an impressive roster of professional sports teams along with the best and most varied recreational facilities available, Charlotte is a national sports center and a sports enthusiast's dream. To add to Charlotte's appeal, Charlotte is also home to some of the world's finest golf courses -- and our Sun City Carolina Lakes community has one of them!
In addition, Charlotte is home to 292 of the top Fortune 500 companies and is recognized as the nation's second-largest banking center -- next to New York City!
And to top it off, Charlotte has great weather year round!
Only half of the winter days fall below freezing. Bright sun and clear skies are common during the summer months, with an average summer temperature of 76°F. The fall in Charlotte, which extends well into November, is one of the most beautiful times of year. And spring, with its array of vibrant colors from mid-March through May, is warm and very enjoyable!

to find out why Charlotte was #1 and how it was calculated. This is a huge honor!
I just told my husband about this thread and he laughed out loud! His question is "Who named it that?" Oh no, does this mean that the rest of America will be moving here? Banking? Yes, where America first found gold. The streets are really paved with gold. Gold dust leftover from the mint.
Pulte didn't sponsor the study. You need to check out the link I posted.
And I have no affiliation with Pulte. I am an independent real estate agent.
Charlotte has it's faults, but I honestly can think of no better place to live, work and raise a family. Just my 2 cents, and obviously, a lot of people agree with me!

I know this is not a Pulte study and it has been on this board under other subjects.
I did read your OP and the first line is "I just received the following email from Pulte:" and then you go on to sell Pulte homes in Sun City.
Pulte's tactics in this email are like when Ford quotes a study that shows their F-150 is the best pickup in the world and then says come buy one... Then next week Toyota runs an add quoting another study that shows the Tundra is the best pickup. Btw, I like Pulte and own a Pulte home in TX so no disrepect intended.
The funny thing is that when MSN linked to the story you mentioned they also had a link right underneath that ranked charlotte as the 9th most miserable city in the US. One study may quote affordable housing and beautiful lakes while another may base their stats on how hard it is to find jobs and the overcrowded schools.
The truth is likely somewhere in the middle and has everything to do with one's perception and personal situation.
