I was wondering what the skilled labor market is like. My main thing is flooring-20yr-but am interrested in the over all picture. I have heard alot about cheap labor but, like I stated before, I am highly qualified in my field. With all the new homes and buildings going up everywhere, there must be a ton of work for a hard working indivigual like myself. I will be in town Jan 15 for a few days to secure rental home and to solicit some flooring stores. I'm coming from upstate N.Y. which seems pretty common now adays. I have had good fortune here in Rochester, but tis town is going nowhere. I almost made this move in 1999, but work got really good for awile. My kids are at the age where we must move now. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.?

My DH works for a building supply company. Earnings are better than Jersey. Seems to be lots of work available.

Good luck!
