I agree with you, HT is not great for seafood but it's not horrible. if there's a seafood mkt out there, I'd like to find it. when I asked the person at HT if they ever had black tiger shrimp (instead of the white shrimp they always have), she had no idea what I was talking about.

Sorry...I pretty much stick to the basics...mussells, flounder filets, sometimes I'll treat myself and get a 1/2 lb of chilean sea bass....mmmmmmmm

I've had some good luck getting meat from Westside Meats at 1414 West Trade St.

I haven't found a decent seafood place recently. The only one I used to go to has shut down. Boo.

I'll also add the seafood place I think we can go to.

Inland Seafood (I'm pretty sure that's the name). They sell to restaurants mostly, but I've been told they will sell to the general public. I haven't really looked into it, nor have I bought from there, but I plan to soon.

Just called that Inland Seafood and sorry but they don't sell to the general public--darn! But they do supply Publix, Fresh Market and "some" Whole Foods. The gentleman I spoke with told me about a place you can order seafood online that is good---seafoods.com. I guess they will ship it Fedex to most places in the U.S. Personally I have been pretty happy with our local HT here in Stanly County. Of course there isn't a huge variety anywhere in my area for buying seafoods.

Dang. I could have sworn that was the place I was told. Maybe it was another distributor in town.

Now I really miss the one that was on Morehead St.
