Default Best route to University Hospital?

I need to be at University Hospital (N. Tryon) tomorrow morning for an 8:45 appt. Anybody know the best way to go, given traffic tendencies?
I'll be coming from the Arboretum area in SE Charlotte. Thanks in advance!

Take I-485 East to Exit #32 (Hwy 29 which is N. Tryon St.)

Turn LEFT and go a few miles and it is on the LEFT just before Harris Blvd.

Next light past JW CLAY Blvd...turn LEFT.

My partner has had 2 out patient surgeries there...we were quite impressed with CMC - University!

Take 485 to UC Blvd exit- #33. Turn right- go to Harris Blvd exit (on R). It's less than a mile once you get on Harris- on the right. Alternately, you could go to the Tryon exit, turn left and it will be about 3 miles up, on the left. Just think traffic gets pretty thick at the tryon exit.

Thanks to both of you!!! I've never been to that part of town, so I appreciate the advice.
Any ballpark on how long that route might take?

Just a guess....but I would allow 45 minutes...probably will only take you 30-40 depending on traffic. Traffic can be quite heavy in University City.

Lots of big employers in that area of town.

Thanks, 7 oh 4!
I'll allow at least 45 minutes to get there. I know I could mapquest, but they're so unreliable. I figured someone on City-Data would know for sure.

Hope everything goes well!

We have been impressed with CMC - University both times we have been there. Went there with low expectations and was totally wrong.

Thanks. My little boy (1 1/2) broke a bone in his foot over the weekend and needs to be seen by an orthopaedist (sp?). Don't want to miss the poor little guy's appointment!

Good luck with him. Good thing you are not going to the Orthopedic Hospital of Charlotte on Randolph Rd...they would just tell you to go home and rest.....
