I had gone to the Flat Rock Grill several times last year . . . but then it was closed. I had a client tell me to meet her at the Flat Rock Grill this week . . . but when I just queried my DH about it . . . he said NO, it had never re-opened.

So . . . did they open at a different location? I will call my client, but hate to seem so stupid if they have re-opened somewhere . . . (or is there some other restaurant w/ a name that I could have confused w/ "Flat Rock Grill" . . . ????)

Thanks for any help!!!

Thanx so much for the info. So same name, same location . . . new management. I really liked their menu and interior decor - great place for group meetings, too. I am curious to see what has changed/remained the same. Thanks!!!

Ani, We ate there Saturday night. There was a 90 minute wait at 131 Main so we went over to Flatrock and were taken right in. Everything, including the service was excellent. She crab soup was exceptional!! Enjoy.

Doorway, thank you soooo much for letting me know your experience. We had gotten fond of FRG last year - had a big group meeting there as well as going over for lunch several times - so we were truly saddened when it closed. The location is good for us, too. I am really really happy they are open and I am going to support them more this go round in hopes they *stay* open. We always had excellent service there (wh/ is not always true for a group - and wow - they were so attentive). I sure hope they have the "formula for success" right this time - I would like to be a regular patron.

Well, we're certainly going to do our part to keep it open even if it means some nights I just won't get to cook .
