Default HELP: What's the rough amount after all deducts in CLT

I'm a northerner, thinking about relocating to CLT, I've been a quiet reader for long time, and brave enough to ask a question today

Could someone please tell me how much will be in your pocket if the salary is 80k, I mean the net cash in pocket after the tax, insurance, 401k etc..

Thanks in advance.

Ari

Welcome, Ari!!!

Honestly, w/o more info, no way I can be very accurate. I have no clue how much you would want to withhold monthly for your 401K, for example, and who knows about insurance - what your portion is w/ your employer.

But just as a rough estimate . . . I would take off about 30% . . . wh/ would leave you $56,000 a year. That would need to be adjusted depending on your insurance and 401K and how many deductions you claim (i.e. dependents).

Now I am no accountant and perhaps someone who is - or who does payroll - will give you a better answer.
