We have a local forum for arcade collectors (pinball, vids, billiards, etc.). You can go to that forum as ask your question there. Someone may know of a place that does repairs or someone may offer to help you out.
Give Brady Distributing a call. They are located near the airport and sell all types of arcade equipment, both new and used, including pinball machines. They even have a large showroom where you can try some of the games. I purchased parts for one of my pinball machines from them and they mentioned one of their techs repairs older machines, but I don't remember his name. Good luck.
Would Brady be the best local place to buy a used game from? Thinking air hockey or pinball...
They keep an updated list of all games for sale including pinball. Another good source for used pinball and other arcade games is Craigslist. I bought my most recent f-14 pinball off Craigslist and love it. My first pinball came from an auction of arcade games and we still enjoy it 20yrs later. The auctions are held around the country including Charlotte. I have seen a pinball seller and restorer advertise on Craigslist as well. He has a regular booth at the Pineville flea market according to the ad.
Did anyone have any luck finding someone to repair a 70's jukebox in the Twin Cities area? After moving my jukebox went out of adjustment and hasn't played since.
We've got a twin city now? Talk about explosive, overnight growth.
Check out BMI Gaming for some pricing info on equipment.
If anyone wants a Golden Tee or Silver Strike Bowling, let me know. I can get them for MUCH less than anyone will sell them for. I'd almost bet I will give the best prices in the country.
Well rats.........I wish you needed this in the future! My hubby has been restoring jukeboxes for about 15 years, but he isn't moving down until we sell our house in PA and he finds a job. Doesn't really know too much about pins, though. And I'm sure he would disagree that a 70s juke is old! I think our newest one is from the late 50s or very early 60s.
But if you are ever looking for someone later on......!
Of course he is now in the middle of trying to sell off about 20 jukes in various stages of repair because we only have room for 1 down there, and it's already in place.
hmmm..I saw an episode of the Carolina Traveler awhile back and supposedly the best pinball machine repair/restore man in the entire USA is in NC. They were referring to him as the Pinball Wizard. I don't remember his name tho, I'll try to figure it out.
