Can anyone recommend a nice place to have a Sunday Baby Shower brunch? I am throwing a baby shower for a friend and we want to have it at a restaurant, but I can't think of anywhere kind of nicer than just the chain restaurants. Does anyone know a nice place for a group of girls to go have lunch? Thanks!

from the wife,
I'm not sure where you live and not sure of the budget. Villa Antonio's in Ballantyne is very nice. I know you said no chains but Maggiono's(sp?) in Southpark Mall is also very nice. There are also plenty of places in Southpark near the mall that are so pretty. We recently went to a place in Southpark that was at an outside shopping center very close to the mall-I can't remember the name of the place but it had several restrauants and it was such a nice area w/ all the trees, flowers, scenery. Maybe someone else will know....It also had some nice upscale shopping. Good luck

I went to a nice one at Sante' in downtown Matthews. Capital City Bistro in downtown Monroe is nice too, not sure if it would be big enough.

Pewter Rose in Charlotte has a nice brunch and they even have a private area for private parties.
