Thinking of renting a condo at Creswick Commons, (Sharon Rd West at Park Rd, across from the Quail Commons Shopping Center with Harris Teeter, Rite Aid, Dilworth Coffee Shop, etc.) This condo has been available for a while, seems like a reasonable price for 2 bd/2 ba (although the bedrooms are kinda small.)

I'm a single female who will be living alone. Anyone heard or experienced anything negative about safety at this location, this condo complex? Seems like it would mostly be owner-occupied instead of renters -- any way to find out percentages of this? Also, there's a couple of ponds on property with lots of geese (and geese droppings on sidewalks!) -- should that scare me off? Location seems great for shopping & public transportation, which I'm planning to use, lotsa buses & 5 min bus connection to light rail!
Hoping for some informed opinions about renting in this complex. Thanks.

I am not of exactly which condo complex your talking about, but be careful when you get on Sharon Rd west, some sketchy area's down there the closer you get to South Blvd. Dont get me wrong great part of charlotte, some of the most expensive houses in Charlotte across from Quail corners in Seven Eagles just be careful with Sharon Rd West.

Creswick Commons is at Sharon Rd West at Park Rd, NOT at South Blvd. Also, it's not an apt complex, it's a condo complex & I would be renting from the individual owner, there's no leasing office or management company involved. It's right across the street from the Quail Corners Shopping Center & seems like a safe, convenient location.
Just wondering if anyone has heard anything negative about it. Thanks.

I think his point was that even though it is on the other end of Sharon Rd West from South Blvd - it is close enough to it to be concerning.

I think it is a nice looking condo complex, well maintained. And I haven't heard of any problems there lately at all. I do not care for the other complexes along the road closer to South Blvd either though. I'd say visit at night and in the day to see what you think and then decide

Creswick Commons is a nice area. I have lived in this area for 5 years and I love it. I am also a single woman living alone and I have never had any problems ot have heard of any problems. Sharon Road West is not a bad area at all also. Not sure if the other posts even live in the area. Speaking from experience, you will enjoy this area.

Creswick is a very nice community with a great pool. It is well maintained and there is a strong sense of neighborly-community there, especially in the summer. The pool is great fun. It is very convenient, and well located. I have lived there for years and have realized how nice it really is after seeing so many other condo complexes with no trees or nature to speak of. Our landscaping is beautiful and we are very blessed. It is safe and a neighborhood watch community, but you must always be careful no matter where you are in Charlotte. Can't go wrong with Creswick, property values are climbing because of excellent location and planned improvements at Quail Corner Shopping.
