My wife and i just moved down from Boston. We are looking to meet some new friends in the area. Does anyone know of any sports bars around Charlotte that get a lot of Boston fans?

Default Boston Guys...

You fellas find each other wherever you go. Its pretty funny. I was in London and I saw two Sox fans, aparrently strangers, embrace each other like brothers.

Hilarious. And good for you!

Hey, it's what we do. Let's...go...Red...Sox...

One thing I'll miss about New England is no more frequent trips to Fenway park..

But yeah, you're right... It's funny how many people I see wearing Sox and Yankees caps running around charlotte.

Picasso's Sports Cafe 1301 East Blvd - give them a call, unless I'm mistaken you'll find other Boston fans there

Hi Boston Fan,

My wife and I and our 5 year old son just moved down from Boston as well. I was told about the Beantown Tavern as well - I believe it is in Mathews. I was walking around the other day with a Sox hat and Pats sweatshirt but I survived Now I figure the Panthers will be my NFC team!

How long have you been in Charlotte? Where did you live back in MA?

2 days??? You're practically our New Years baby then

Just FYI, the Charlotte Observer puts out a great pull out section every Friday called the "E" section. It details all the happenings upcoming in the city that weekend - plus gives movie times and reviews, along with restaurant reviews. I would be willing to bet there will be something in there about where all the Boston fans will gather for the game this weekend. Hope you find this helpful Welcome home.

Well a few of the other New Englanders in my community (Wesley Oaks) were just going to hang out at LaStradas since it's close by or maybe the grill place (can't remember the name but it's on Providence road) which is a sports type establishment with a somewhat toned down hooters feel to it (nope not saying more on that...).

I only want to see The Colts vs. the Pats next Sunday in Indy- have the game come down to a field goal...that would be one for the archives!
