Anyhoo, welcome to NC! We live in South Charlotte! My grandmother lives in Gastonia and I know there is little to no culture there! If you can, Charlotte would be a better flavor for you!
And you seem like a person with lots of class and "culture"? LOL. Too bad you have to deal with those Hondurans and Mexicans, huh? I bet New York really misses you?

My OPINION that Charlotte lacks culture is simply that.... MY OPINION. Everyone should be entitled. No hard feelings people. What i like about this forum is that we can all express our individual thoughts. Rock on!:-)

we respect your opinion, however, when you come here and say that our city doesnt have culture because we dont have a large puerto ricans population is somewhat ignorant. there are several major cities that lack a significant population of many different types of people and this does not mean that they lack culture. you have to understand that you cant just say "charlotte lacks culture" and then be suprised when people get upset. charlotte is cultured, as you said there are many mexicans, hondurans, el salvadorians, etc. i would imagine that our puerto ricans population is growing in addition to this.

I've been to Puerto Rico for vacation. What aspect of Puerto Rican culture do you miss? I was very surprised with what I saw in PR: it's basically an island ghetto with a "culture" to match. I was surprised at the "natives" lack of respect for themselves and others. The resorts are nice. The walled communities for the rich are nice. That's about it.

As I was driving around PR, I saw a WalMart parking lot with a Guard Tower and an armed guard for crime control. Nice!
