Vacationing at Lake Wylie- golf courses???
Hi there....
My family will be spending 10 days at Lake Wylie (in July) and my husband is bringing his golf clubs. Any good suggestions for golf courses near this area? He probably doesn't want to spend more than $70 for 18 holes and but does prefer the nicer courses (we lived in Phoenix for 10 years so he's spoiled). Would love any suggestions!
Thanks!!!

THere is a lovely golf course in Tega Cay on Lake Wylie - though I am not sure of the course fees. Send my good friend lovethecarolinas a direct message - she could tell you all about it

Sun City Carolina Lakes is about 30 min away but I understand that it is an awesome course and it is public.
Also, the Palisades Club and River Hills are close by but I believe they are for members only. It wouldn't hurt to call and let them know you are visiting from out of state perhaps they would let you play anyway.
Good luck and have a great vacation on Lake Wylie!!!

If he loves golf and good courses, he won't mind driving a little ways. Ballantyne Resort course is nice for a public course, and it's not far from you. Regent Park is a nice course and is near Carowinds (not far). But my favorite public course in Charlotte is Skybrook and it's in North Charlotte. It's relatively new and a beautiful course. I would play it over the other two any day.
