Are there any areas in or around Charlotte that would allow above ground pools? We are looking to move and have an above ground pool and would like to continue to use it. We can not afford to put in an inground pool. The area does not have to be a new community. Looking for good schools though.

The newer communities with stronger HOAs will not allow them. So you need to check your covenents with the HOA and see. I am not aware of any county or city restrictions other than fencing. Many new places have community pools instead. The only places I have seen above ground pools is the more rural areas to the north and south, about 45 min from uptown and there you find no HOAs and not even sure they are incorporated, thus weeds, cars, paint, whatever can go, goes.

Any of the neighborhoods off Carmel Rd., below Hwy. 51 will allow them.
