It's not the agent, it's the company that matters. If your insurance is with a national company, your current agent contacts a new-state agent and it is transferred. For example, I have Allstate, which I have had for about 30 years in 3 states. I call my agent to give them the new address, they contact the new agent, who then calls me, and the transfer is done. Since I have a monthly payment flowing out of my bank, there is an slight adjustment on the amount. When I moved here, it went down considerably. And if you aren't with a national company, you should be, IMHO. Good luck!
