Default Lab/Golden Retriever Puppies?

Does anyone happen to know where I could get either a lab or golden retriever pup? I've checked all the shelters and craigslist but maybe someone on the board can help!

Thanks!!

There is someone in Harrisburg that breeds them. My brother got his GOLDEN there. These folks love GOLDENS. High quality breeders.

Not sure what you mean by shelters but assume you went to petfinders.com. Have you checked the Lab/Golden rescue sites?

You have to just keep checking. After about 6 months we were able to find our new pup on Craigslist. It did take forever. The shelters are going to want to talk to your vet and want you to have a fence. At least this is what we went through.

If you end up looking for a breeder, I purchased a GR from the Durham/Raleigh area and have zero complaints of the breeder. My pup is five years old now.

I know a reputable breeder of Labs in the Lake Norman area, but you are going to spend $1,000 on their pups. I think there is a waiting list last I checked.

We just adopted a Lab/Border Collie mix from the Cabbarrus Pet Society this past Saturday. Couldn't be happier with her! We found her on Petfinder.com: Adopt a pet and help an animal shelter rescue a puppy or kitten. They pull data from all the local shleters...much easier than searching all the pages. I saw tons of Lab pure breeds and mixes on there over the past coupld weeks of looking.

Its hard to find a reputable Golden breeder that has pups for under $800. We looked for months and some of the cheaper breaders were awful puppy farms. If you are willing to spend more them $900+, check out Seasons Goldens in Harrisburg, NC.

There are a ton of puppies that are put down or gassed everyday in NC and SC...if you are willing to consider adoption, there are a lot of options, including purebred rescue. Please send me a PM if you would like more information.
