Brian what does this comment have to do with Brooklyn changing nd not being what it was when I grew up and Waxhaw NOT being a hell hole?? Waxhaw just needs some more restaurants, and downtown needs tenents...The fact that Brooklyn and Waxhaw are completely 2 different types of living, I dont see what one has to do with dh getting a job in another state and us moving to florida or wherever the job is...and Waxhaw being a hell hole???

The builder for this particular property went bankrupt (Merrcal Builders) before he could complete the entire home, thus it has never been lived in. This situation is a little different than the majority of foreclosures in the area, resulting from job losses and bad mortgages. U ever heard anything about this builder, Merrcal? Any reliable information would be appreciated. Ciao for now and thanks again!! NJ Connection. Freed4463

Yeah, I had a chance to stop by and look at one of his foreclose properties, he was building homes for banks not for people. I would do my homework and never ever buy something made by Moderator cut: consumer complaint builder didn't have any idea how to build. If you consider to buy one of his properties finally get Home Inspector, if i were you i would hire two different inspectors.

Gotta agree with Sammillsfan, but I wouldn't say it's becoming a "hellhole" per se, it's just being assimialted into another neighborhood in Charlotte.
Waxhaw has fallen victim to the great beast Charlotte in recent years. For 7 years I was fleet manager for the Novant healthcare copier and fax machine fleet. My travels took me into Waxhaw to a Dr.s office there at least twice a month for those 7 years, and as Charlotte expands, the charm and quaintness of Waxhaw has started to wane. It's a shame that it happened, because Waxhaw of the early 80's and farther back was a great place to visit, but the more people move here, the more the small town peripheral here suffers.
I mean, look what happened to Newell! The only reason anyone remembers Newell is because the post office on Old Concord Road still carries the name on it! The only reason Harrisburg isn't part of Charlotte is because it's not in Mecklenburg county!
But he's right, it does suck to drive over there -anywhere on that side of town- and I avoid it like the plague now.

The problem is with all of the many hundreds of new homes built going into Waxhaw . Guess where almost all of the working folks are going in the AM?...They are headed in a bee line straight to charlotte, The back up is miles long now and getting longer,,,,,,,Day workers coming into town to work and then running back across the county line to sleep...LOL
