Im taking a one or two day job to help offset the fuel costs of today and it is in Dilworth. If I got to be there at 9 what time should I leave from exit 23 McCoy Road?

To me riding around on 277 is like a fair ride but it backs up onto 77 occasionally is it really rough riding with the commute traffic?

Should I avoid 77 all together and use Beatties Ford?
Go by the stadium and turn right on Tryon ?
Left on east?

If I leave by 8 is that enough time or should I leave earlier?

Leaving by 8 should be ample time to get there. When I worked at the health department by Cotswold, I left at 8:25a (from exit 25 and exit 28) and always got there before 9am. So my guess with a little heavier traffic, if you left at 8am you'd get there at the very latest by 8:45am, but probably by 8:35am.

Actually, if you are already on McCoy, I would probably jump over to Hambright then Reames Road and take that all the way to Sunset Road. You'd surely get there by 8:30am that route.

Once you get past exit 23 its easy going. My son is now going to summer camp and I have to drive on the interstate around 8am. A few taps on the breaks is all about it requires as people merge then once its 4 lanes nothing to it.

Sunny...I would just hop onto I-77 and take the 3rd exit of Exit #9...1st exit is Wilkinson Blvd...2nd exit is John Belk Freeway...once you pass John Belk Freeway...next exit to the right is West Blvd. If you get off there and turn left...West Blvd turns into East Blvd in about 2 miles and you will be at the corner of East Blvd & South Blvd right in Dilworth.

There are 3 exits for Exit #9...the last one is West Blvd which will turn into East Blvd when you go left of I-77.

Hope this isn't confusing. GOOD LUCK!

NO not confusing except I never pay attention exit numbers just names. I am assuming exit 9 is on 77?
I probably go the Hambright Road -Northlake Route but go into town on Beatties Ford . I like these tips.
Generally it takes me 30 minutes to reach Dilworth and I usually take 77 277 to the stonewall exit then head up Kennilworth but I dont want to deal with possible bump ups going this route in rush.

Thanks for the tips.

Getting downtown is easy in the morning; its the commute home that will wear you down. You will definitely want to exit Sunset or Harris in the evening!
