Single Women---Please Answer (Charlotte: hoa, work, home)

I've been reading about the single scene in Charlotte and it seems like I'm reading a lot posts from men. They say there's tons of attractive single woman. I haven't found many posts from woman about the single men. So my question is:

Is there a good amount of attractive single men in charlotte?

Have you ever been to Charlotte?

A city of 700,00 people and 2.5 million in the Metro area...you will have all types like in every city. Any large city will have all types of people...Charlotte is no different.

I have to say that when I moved here I found it hard to be a single woman in my mid-20s. A lot of people I met were already part of a couple and some of the men that I met were, well, let's just say I was a little overwhelmed at the "my BMW is bigger than your BMW" attitude that I found among some of the single men in Uptown. But maybe it's like that whenever you move to a new city that is fairly affluent? Moving here was my first move out of my home state and after college so I don't really have a basis for comparison.

After about a year of living here, I met some nice guys through friends and eventually ended up dating a great guy that I later married. So I think it's probably about the same here as it is in other larger towns/cities. It's tough to generalize when you have so many people in one place.

Honestly though, tons of single guys around, lots of people moving here. Many of us single guys are joining groups like CYP, CHOA, GoSocial to meet new people. Come join us.

I second joining meetup.com groups. Charlotte Young Adult Singles (CYAS) and Charlotte Young Professionals (CYP) are two great ones. Last time I went out with CYAS I had a blast and met lots of people!

I think part of it has to do with individual taste as well...
I think there are enough "good looking" guys in Charlotte that most ladies won't have problems.
Depending on what you enjoy, joining interest groups may bring a different look/style of guy then you may find weekends Uptown.

Well, I personally see hunks here in CLT all the time. However, my definition of hunk and someone else's may be different. I see guys of all descriptions - from white collar to blue collar to country boys. We have a really nice mix: Southern guys and guys from the NE and Midwest; some really sophisticated, some really down to earth . . . sweet guys who would make their mommas proud. Guys here are usually approachable and kind. Maybe they are just nice to me b/c I remind them of their mothers - but no matter what accent I hear . . . I have found men of all ages here to be - overall - gentlemen.

Of course, I am partial to Southern guys - and I have a soft spot in my heart for country boys . . . but I gotta tell ya . . . people are moving into the area who are really sharp . . .

The coolest single guys here are not necessarily doing the bar scene! Check out the groups our other posters mentioned . . . you will find wonderful people by networking this way . . .

and I heard that Charlotte is more of a family concentrated city ..Good to hear that there are lots of good looking single people around ...Not that I care (for me, I'm married a wonderful man) but I'll make sure to introduce my girl friends when they are in town ...BTW, anyone cares for asian women??? ..:-))))
