Default Best hotel to stay when visting NC

I will visting NC next week because I'm relocating in August due to job transfer. I will be looking at homes and schools in Concord, Cabarrus, Clemmons, Chapel Hill, Indian Trail & Cornelius, NC AND Lake Wylie, Fort Mill & Ballentyne, SC. What is the best Hotel to stay so I can be in the middle of all areas and easy access to freeway.

Okay - you threw me off when you mentioned Chapel Hill and Clemmons. Chapel Hill is in RDU area . . . And Clemmons- that is up around Winston-Salem.

Where is your job location going to be?

+1, that is going to be quite a commute from Charlotte.

Some of the more seasoned posters can say if this is good loocation wise for you, but I wholeheartedly recommend the Courtyard Marriott in Matthews. It was a home away from home while we were looking to relocate, although we mostly looked around Ballantyne, Matthews/ Mint Hill and Indian Trail.

I'm guessing your job transfer allows you to choose EITHER Charlotte OR Raleigh, is that right? Is THAT why you want to see so many places spread out over such a large area when you come? Honestly, you would be much better off staying in places in each area when you visit them.

Grandover Resort in Greensboro would pretty much be in the middle of all of this. It's pretty much at the crossroads fo 85 and 40.

That is a good suggestion if they are determined to do all that extra driving

Thanks Damemeow for your suggestion. I think Country Inn & Suites is a good hotel and near the main cities I'm looking at.
