I did not care for the beginning of Speed Racer the way that movie was made for Imax
I sat at the top to see everything and I had to move my head left or right to see a character.
I like the experience once I convince myself this isnt going to be a motion simulator like I am use to for this type of showing.

Good for Concord though.

Isn't there an IMAX Dome Theatre Uptown at Discovery Place?

Not a surprise. Concord Mills is THE largest tourist attraction in NC per number of visiors...and no offense...they can have Concord Mills. I don't find alot of bargains at Concord Mills.

Sawgrass & Dolphin Malls blows away Concord Mills.

I much prefer the flat screen Imax to the Imax dome. In the Imax Dome there are only a few seats where you can get the full experience (middle of the rows towards the top). I still like the dome and will go to that one because its closer and easier to get to and am looking forward to seeing the DARk Knight there.

I think I would prefer a flat screen too. When we went to Discovery Place...it seemed like I was always turning my head constantly. I guess the old neck muscles got a good work out.

This is great news. I've never lived within reasonable distance to a "real" IMAX theater...not eh curved dome thing at Discovery. Movies that are made into IMAX don't traditionally make it to those theaters (e.g. Superman).

Concord Mills is about 10 minutes from my house. Things couldn't be looking better for the University City part of town. IMAX, Drag Strip nearby, new shopping, IKEA, commuter trains coming soon...the list keeps growing!

Since they redid the reel at Discovery Place they have shown a lot of major Hollywood movies...Spiderman 3, Harry Potter, Night at the Museum (for obvious reasons), Sppedracer, and they will be showing the new Batman movie "The Dark Knight". They have a 12:01 showing on Thursday night/Friday morning July 18th.

I don't care much for the mall itself but never been to IMAX so excited to go to one and for it to be close by.

704-Dolphin mall is now a total craphole. Not sure about Sawgrass either anymore
