if you had a choice would you send your kids to S Charlotte or Crestdale they both go to Providence High. What would be your reasons either way. Thanks

I know someone Ive recently met move because she didnt want her child in Cresdale....the S. charlotte schools are pretty good from what some of the women I know tell me...Elon Park is good Community house and Ardrey Kell is excellent...im sure other people can answer it better...since I live in Union County, however If we were to move to Meck it would be those schools...As the principal of Providence Hs is now the principal of Ardrey Kell HS...has been since it opened...

I used to teach at both and both are great schools. Crestdale has more real world or diversity than South Charlotte. It just depends if you want your kid(s) to be with everyone they look like or mostly everyone they look like. Both have great teachers that I personally know and both are great at sports. You really can't go wrong here. It just depends on what you are looking for or not looking for. Crestdale is a less clicky

My take exactly. South Charlotte Middle tends to be cliquey, though academically both schools have a lot to offer. I would suggest visiting both to meet with the principal to get a feel for each school's particular vibe - choose the one that feels right for your child

When i'm talking about reputation i'm talking about performance. S. Charlotte rates higher than Crestdale in this.

Exactly... S. Charlotte has more kids walking in the door on and above grade level. Look at growth; not performance. You also have to check what the performance is based on. I am guessing that Crestdale has more subgroups tested for AYP than at S. Charlotte so I would think that the deeper teaching is going on where the need is. IMO
