Well then I'm glad we didn't go there! We ended up at Fuel, which we thought was pretty yummy. But then, we aren't New Yorkers so I guess we aren't as picky

Groove, are you talking about the place I described? What's it's name? Is its pizza really awful?

I was talking about Anzi in Stonecrest...we ate their once and I would rather eat any of the franchise pizzas than theirs.

Fuel can be good, but it's usually not. Their pizza tatses different from location to location and sometimes even the same location can be really good or really bad.

OK, first, I dont do carbs, so I had a salad. Second, my Wife is from NY and owned a pizza restaurant back in Miami. Third, my 7 year old is a pasta afficionado.
We went to Brooklyn Boys in Mooresville tonight. I liked my salad, dressing was excellent. We ordered 3 kids meals of different pastas for my girls to share, they were both happy with them. My Wife ordered a pizza with Sausage and Pepperoni, and said that it was just OK. She liked the pepperoni, sausage was just OK. I stole some and put it on my salad, tasted pretty good to me. She said that the sauce was weak, and the dough not salted enough. Garlic knots were a little dry, and not very garlicky. Good Yankee tea for me.
BTW, there was a bagel place next door, no feedback on that yet.

People still don't eat carbs? Wow. I thought that fad had passed.

I lost about a 100 lbs 15 years ago, and have kept it off by really watching what I eat. I am not a fanatic, but I cant load up on pasta and pizza and still enjoy some ice cream at night.

I am lucky...I love carbs and eat them like crazy, but I tend to eat "good carbs" like whole grains, wheat, pasta, rice, etc but I do love pizza. I am 6'4" and am about 180lbs and have been those dimensions for a long time. I've always preached that you should watch out for bad carbs, but enjoy the good ones (which often have more flavor anyways).

That is what I mean when I say that I watch what I eat. I eat veggies and salads, all of which have carbs. I dont eat potatoes, breads, pasta, rice, etc. I drink mostly fresh brewed tea, usually with some fresh mint leaves from my yard. I am 6'1 and 225, still too heavy but its been pretty constant for the past 10 years or so.
