I was driving home around 6:45 last night and by then most of the extreme weather had past (just a steady rain) anyway I got on interstate 85 at Sugar Creek and traffic was crawling for about 1 mile and then I saw why, there was a house on fire on Reagan (Dr or St) I don't know which, that's the road that runs parallel to 85 on the south side.
Did anyone else see this, did it make the local news?
I hope everyone was OK, It looked bad.

Most of us didn't see it because our power was either out or just unplugged due to all the lightening!!!
That was the first electrical storm bad enough to make my husband go around and unplug every single thing in our house, and I mean everything! Then we sat on the couch with popcorn and 3 cats cowering on our laps watching it all out the living room window - it was wild!
Hope they were all okay in that fire too.

I sat in the garage and watched the storm and one very close strike knocked my power out from 5:40 till 9:45. Can't complain as we needed the 1.5 inces of rain!!! Looking forward to more rain today!!

BACKUPS :-D

Oh, goodness yes. Regular system backups, external hard drive and DVD. But the UPS was a missing piece, since we just didn't get storms like this where I'm from.

Yep I liked the drought except what it did to my lawn!!
Yes we now realize we should have want to NM or AZ but DH likes some change in seasons Maybe down the road I can get my way! The one thing that we love abour the weather here though is the sunny skies most days esp. in the winter. It helps make the winter more bearable then the NE!
