lol. There is a possibility though that gold has peaked or will peak soon. Then you'll be able to buy more gold later.
We just have to wait and see what happens. My crystal ball is just as clear as yours!

Don't confuse currency valuation with price corrections due to restrictions in financing. It is possible to have inflation and falling prices on homes, cars, and many other things.
Just about any good or service that is purchased predominantly on credit is undergoing price reductions right now. This is independent of inflation.

This is a wonderful opportunity for retirees to find a good deal. So the real estate police can go off duty now. Charlotte will be about the same as before. They just keep coming?

Yawn, as usual. Sitting here at the airport in NYC. Waiting to go pick-up a carpetbagger's bag of money in CLT. Trouble is this guy's message that always puts me to sleep.
Ta, Ta, Mr. Messagehead. Snnoooooz ZZZZZZZZZ. Sorry fell asleep again reading your drivel.

You know . . . maybe Charlotte is a dying city. Maybe things are going to go all to hell. MAYBE YOU WERE RIGHT!!!!!!
But why in heaven's name would that make you feel you have the right to be assaultive to people who are facing tough times b/c of job loss? Why would you sneer at people dealing with situations they did not create?
Let's just suppose that some of us saw the storm on the horizon. What were we supposed to do? People have homes and kids in school and LIVES here. Not like we could do a damn thing about the way bankers were handling toxic loans and assets - or handing out wacko loans to unqualified wanna be homeowners.
It is one thing to predict something - or even suggest it and another thing to offer a solution.
So give us your solutions, Wizard. You take glee in other people's misery - b/c you feel you predicted the misery? That makes it okay to made snide remarks to those of us who are trying to deal with keeping our lives together here?

The job hunting is an ongoing process, thanks for asking
It really is amazing that after almost a year of unemployment our credit scores are in the 740's and we'll have no trouble jumping into our next home purchase wherever a new job takes us. And we WILL buy, because it is a great time to be a buyer in this country.
