People that think Chase will keep or relocate a single person here are kidding themselves. They will buy the company's accounts and debts and say good bye to Charlotte.
|
Uh, read the paper once in a while. Chase doesn't have Wachovia anymore.

They do not need human resources, accounting, investment advisors, analysts, etc in Charlotte.
|
Uh, yes they do...

Traffic problems? What traffic problems? Ever been to a big city? I grew up in DC - they have traffic problems. This is nice by comparison.

There will be thousands of former bankers looking for jobs soon, there already is, actually.
|
No there won't be - I know bankers who lost their jobs over the summer. They're all working now at other banks.

I think the most important question is how long did it take for that guy to type all of that out?

Our water bill is around $50 a month and that's with 4 of us and plenty of showers and and laundry and dirty dishes.

I don't mind people pointing out our deficiencies here in the Queen City area, but I just expect to see a realistic and logical presentation of the issues. In this case, IMHO, the OP used a little creativity to portray a doom and gloom picture of this area. Is that fair for someone who may be interested in coming here? No.

Well well, I am moving to Charlotte anyway, I am not moving for a job, I am just moving there because of what I read and hear about. And to run away from the dying state of CA.. if we are using the same line of thought.. houses here are 50% what it was last year and still falling, people are walking away from their homes. No rain and fires are burning every where. Silicon Valley doesn't have any more silicon left.. And Wells Fargo is buying Wacovia and moving everyone to Charlotte... I just love these posts that gets people to chat and talk.. Be positive and keep smiling, life is too short..

This poster lost all credibility after getting his facts wrong (i.e. Chase). I stopped reading after that.

Well, this thread originated back in July, I believe. A lot has changed since then. At one point, I believe there was discussion about Chase/Wachovia - but that has all changed since July (obviously). In addition, has OP been back on this thread?

LOL...massageman must be laughing his butt off. He got such a rise out of all of you and after his initial comments without having had said anything since.
I would suggest "ignoring" comments that are obviously as outlandish as those...for all I know, he could have been conducting a psychology experiment.

Exactly. And the best way to handle threads like this is to QUIT RESPONDING TO THEM. By posting here you just brought it up to everyone's attention all over again. Let this one die folks.
