We will be staying at the Duke mansion in august. Can anyone tell me what part of town this is considered, and recommend things to see and do around there?

Myers Park area, it's very close to downtown so you can do anything in the downtown area.

Nice shady, walkable area close to Queens University. It is a nice walk to restaurants and other ammentities in the Elizabeth, Providence areas or even downtown (uptown). Enjoy you stay there.

You will love it I'm sure This area of Charlotte, Eastover and Myers Park, are two of the oldest in the city and the grand homes and towering trees make it a gorgeous place! Be sure to visit the nearby Mint Museum - worth the trip. You could actually walk if you don't mind about a mile stroll thru the area.
